displaying only a specified amount of content for users to read on the
main page. In turn, a link is placed under the post’s summary if users want to read the full article. This option will enables you to
control the look and feel of your blog as you provide a more
professional layout.

- Click the “New Post” link from your Blog’s Navbar if you wish create an excerpt from a new entry. To edit an existing article, click the pencil icon that appears at the end of the post.
- Place your mouse cursor where you wish to end the content’s excerpt. Click the “Insert Jump Break” icon from the available toolbar; the icon resembles a broken piece of paper.
- Click “Publish” if creating a brand new post or “Update” if modifying an existing one. As a result, the jump break feature effectively creates a link to continue reading toward the end of the excerpt.
- Change Blogger's default "Read More" link text at the end of a post's excerpt by clicking "Edit" from the Blog Post widget located under the main Layouts option.
